Complimentary Review of Cable and Telecom Agreements

Many MDU property owners and management companies do not pay sufficient attention to their existing telecommunications and cable contracts. If that's true of your company, you may be overlooking opportunities to leverage additional value from your assets. In particular, your existing contracts may contain re-negotiation opportunities that have not been noticed. For example, some contracts may have expired; others may be nearing an automatic renewal deadline; others may leave open on-site marketing or other access rights that cable and telecommunications providers would pay to acquire.

Therefore, as a free service for our clients, the Kandutsch Law Office offers a detailed confidential review, examination, and assessment of your portfolio of existing cable and telecom agreements, provided that the portfolio includes at least three agreements. Upon completion of the review and assessment, we will provide you with an easily accessible executive summary (using an Excel spreadsheet), summarizing the essential terms of each agreement (including expiration date, auto-renewal date and actions required to prevent auto-renewal, on-site marketing rights, use of inside wiring, whether the contract is assignable, provider revenue share commitment, etc.), identifying possible renegotiation opportunities, and offering recommendations as to how the value of these real estate assets might be enhanced from the perspective of broadband services. Even if no new opportunities are identified, you will have a comprehensive summary of your existing agreements for ready access going forward.

Contact the Kandutsch Law Office for further information.
