Carl Kandutsch was born and raised in Bar Harbor, Maine. He holds a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University, a Ph.D. from Yale University, and a J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law. In 1997, Carl went to work as a staff attorney in the Cable Bureau of the Federal Communications Commission. While at the FCC, Carl took a lead role in drafting amendments to the Commission's rules governing the disposition of cable home run wiring and cable home wiring. He then went on to become General Counsel for DirecPath, LLC, one of the largest and most successful private cable operators in the United States. Since 2008, Dr. Kandutsch has operated a solo law practice in Plano, Texas, representing Multi-Dwelling Unity (MDU) property owners and managers, as well as broadband service providers, at the intersection of real estate and telecommunications law. Carl has also published numerous articles dealing with regulatory, legal, and public policy issues related to his practice. Education:
